Fortress of Solitude

I’m an introvert which doesn’t mean I don’t like people. Extroverts get energy from being around people, introverts have their energy drained by being around people. Simple. I liken my home akin to Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. It’s where he retreated to gain energy and learn before returning to the world. (Alas, those electric car recharging stations won’t work for us.) Remember, his alter ego is mild-mannered Clark Kent. For me to be in the world I need to escape from it regularly. Enjoy the quietness of home.I always tell people home is where all my stuff is! (View from my sofa). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not totally shy or meek and my freak flag does fly frequently. I like to have fun, laugh and banter with people. Yes, and occasionally argue with people kinda on purpose to check and see if the possess a backbone. Introverts are often adopted by extroverts. We admire them and we compete with them less. Take the time to get to know us because it often will take some time.
