Cranberry Sauce

I know there are those that are fans of the canned cranberry sauce. I’m just not one of them.

Making sauce out of fresh cranberries is as easy as boiling water. Really.

12 ounces of fresh cranberries, washed
1 Cup granulated sugar
3/4 Cup water

Boil water and sugar in small pan until sugar is dissolved
Add cranberries
Simmer 10-12 minutes until berries pop and starts to thicken

That’s it.
I will add a couple of shakes of ground cinnamon sometimes
Also, adding a tiny bit of Grand Marnier after cooking gives it a nice zip
But it can be eaten without adding anything else as is.

Pro tip: if you like a sweeter sauce add 1/2 Cup additional sugar
