Tarantino strikes again. I’m always surprised by how different his movies are. This one is certainly different.
Late 1960’s television actor, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and his stunt double, played by Brad Pitt, struggle to keep working in Hollywood as they age.
Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, there’s long dialog scenes intercut with action, like a masterful music piece. Speaking of music, Tarantino again paints his films with his favorite tunes of the era.
The film, which is 2 hours and 41 minutes long, twists and turns and manages to write a Tarantino fairy tale ending to the real-life Manson family murders.
Tarantino loves to cast his movies with actors he’s worked with previously. So you’ll see actors like Michael Manson, Damian Lewis, Emile Hirsch, Tim Roth and Kurt Russell to name a few.
DiCaprio and Pitt are fun to watch in this.
I must admit that I usually need to watch this guys movies a second time to really “get” what he’s doing. Worth the watch.
